get ready
There are two people on this trip, male, 21.
Next, let's briefly introduce the preparation before the trip.
At the end of 2013, we began to prepare visa for Australia, that is, Australia tourism visa.
2014.1.3 in person from Australia Shanghai visa center.
2014.1.6 Australian consulate receives visa application.
2014.1.30 Australian visa application completed.
Materials we (students) prepare when applying for Australian tourist visa:
1.Form 1419 (English version and Chinese version are available, either of which can be filled in, and it must be capitalized in English)
2.Table 54 (also available in Chinese and English, remember to capitalize)
The above forms can be downloaded from the website of the Australian Embassy in China( http://www.china.embassy.gov.au )
3.Original passport (old passport, if any) 4. Two copies of the first page of the passport 5. One recent passport photo (2 inches; 4; Paste to 1419 table)
6.A complete copy of my household register
7.Proof of funds (because we are both students, the proof of funds is provided by our parents, including the salary flow / credit card statement / deposit certificate)
8.Copy of real estate and car property (also from parents)
9.Proof of work (parent's)
10.Copy of student ID card and proof of reading
11.Personal note
12.Schedule
Note that all the above materials need to be provided in English. We have translated them ourselves. There are many templates on the Internet for reference.
In particular, we would like to thank Victoria Tourism Bureau for providing us with the journey and all the friends who supported us to participate in the event.
Originally, I planned to go to Melbourne during the winter vacation, but there was no news after 16 working days after receiving the visa application from consulate No. 1.6, so I had no choice but to change my plan. I went to Hunan with my friends and started school when I came back. Finally, I delayed my trip to Melbourne until the end of April.
2013.1. On the 27th and 28th, two urging letters were sent respectively, but there was no reply.
2013.1.30 query status shows that the trial is completed.
When I got the visa, I saw that it was accepted on January 29, 2013. It seems that the reminder letter has played a certain role.
Our round-trip flights are all from Shanghai to Melbourne via Guangzhou.
2014.4.26 4:45-17:05 cz3538 Shanghai Guangzhou
2014.4.26 21:00-8:40 + 1 cz321 Guangzhou Melbourne
2014.5.02 22:30-5:55 + 1 cz322 Melbourne Guangzhou
2014.5.03 8:00-10:20 cz3523 Guangzhou Shanghai
4.On May 27-30, arranged by Victoria Tourism Bureau, we had planned to go to Dayang Road on may 1-5.2, but we were stranded in Guangzhou for two days due to flight delay.
Because the flight from Shanghai to Guangzhou was delayed for more than seven hours, so we didn't catch the connecting flight in Guangzhou in time. As a result, we stayed in Guangzhou for two days, so the itinerary was changed to 27-28 in Guangzhou and 29-5.2 in Melbourne. Although the time in maoben has become very limited, it turns out that our journey is still very happy and we will have a good time in the future.
Here, I would like to mention Victoria Tourism Bureau again. Thank you for providing us with this trip. Because of the flight delay, we were not able to arrive in Melbourne in time. After that, we helped us readjust our itinerary. Thank you for your hospitality and all the partners who supported us when we participated in the event.
Let's put some pictures first. Let's get down to the town
Next, I want to step into the main body of the travel notes. First, I will briefly talk about the accommodation and transportation in Melbourne, and then I will give a detailed introduction to the scenic spots and restaurants we have been to.
LETS GO!
get accommodation:
Melbourne has a wide range of accommodation options. If you are in time for major festivals or celebrations, the rooms will be very tight. It's better to book in advance. There are many hotels in Melbourne, from five-star to CYTS, and it is also very close to the central business district. Prices range from 250 to thousands of yuan.
Most tourists will choose the accommodation in the central business district. You can see from the ground that there is a great choice. Melbourne city itself is not big, so the traffic problem between hotels in the city is not very big.
Our hotel in Melbourne is crown metropolis Melbourne, which is located on the South Bank of Melbourne, on the Yala river.
The crown Metropolis Hotel is adjacent to the crown entertainment complex entertainment center and is located opposite to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center. It is a 10 minute walk from the south southern cross station and the pier area.
携程酒店链接:http://hotels.ctrip.com/international/1476703.html?Rooms=2&childNum=2&NoShowSearchBox=T&isfull=F&cbn=16&ecp=1177#ctm_ref=hi_0_0_0_0_lst_sr_1_df_ls_1_n_hi_0_0_0
When I opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, big and fragrant. The whole crown metropolis was filled with a fragrance, and I was attracted from the moment I entered the lobby.
The room has always been electrified, with the door opened, the TV playing crown metropolitan Promo and music, and the pager on the desk showing the name of the occupant and the word "welcome".
There are partitions in the bathroom and bedroom, which can be opened or closed. Electric hair dryer, hot water kettle, iron, bathrobe and shoes can be provided.
There is a magazine on the desk beside the bed for reading. There is a stereo beside the magazine, which can link to the iPod, iPhone, etc. it has the function of alarm clock and radio.
The crown provides shower cream, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, and does not provide toothpaste toothpaste. I'd like to say that crown's conditioner tastes good.
There are closets, refrigerators and safes in the corridor. Drinks and other food in the refrigerator need to be charged. There is a price list on the table.
Our room is on the 17th floor, and the view from the window is also very good. A tram stop on the left in the photo is the boarding point of the tram restaurant.
At night, Melbourne is brightly lit and beautiful. The white building is the exhibition center of Melbourne.
The picture above shows the corridor of crown. You need to insert a room card to get up and down the elevator.
Dining options at crown metropolis Melbourne include Mr hive kitchen & bar. Enjoy a drink at the hotel's unique club lounge and sky bar "28" (extra charge).
The transportation in Melbourne is very developed. The public transportation is divided into city railway, tram, No.35 tram around the city, bus and taxi.
There are two main railway stations in Melbourne. The Southern Cross station in the above two pictures is responsible for Melbourne railway terminal, including intercity railway, intercontinental railway, city railway, airport bus, coach, etc. There are many fast food restaurants in the station, as well as a large supermarket and discount shop. You can take the train to Sydney from the South Cross station.
Another is the Flinders Street station, which is not far from the Southern Cross in the picture above. It is the oldest railway station in Melbourne. The station is very big, but it is much smaller than the Southern Cross. The appearance is Victorian architecture, light brown and solemn. This station is the landmark of Melbourne, opposite is Federation Square. I like this building very much.
Melbourne is the only city in Australia that keeps trams, and Sydney also has trams, but only for sightseeing. Tram is the symbol of the city. At present, there are three generations of trams running in Melbourne. It's very convenient to take trams in Melbourne, covering almost all the urban areas and the coastal areas a little far away.
There is also a tram in Melbourne which is used as a tram around the city. It retains the model of the 1950s and 1960s. The most important thing is that it is free. The free TRAM around the city is No.35 tram. Its body is painted in unique wine red and gold. It passes through the major scenic spots and popular scenic spots in Melbourne. There are commentaries broadcast on the car, and there are free tour brochures and coupons, It's very suitable for people who come to Melbourne for the first time.
Operating hours: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm from Sunday to Wednesday, and 10:00 am to 9:00 pm from Thursday to Saturday (services will be suspended during Good Friday and Christmas)
The yellow card in the picture above is Melbourne's bus card, which is called myki card. The myki card can be used in all kinds of transportation including city railway, tram and bus. The myki card can be purchased at main stations and retail stores with blue signs, including all 7-11 convenience stores.
For details of myki card, please see: http://ptv.vic.gov.au/tickets/myki

2014.4.26 today is the day of departure. It's raining. My partner and I arrived at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport a long time ahead of schedule. We took off at 14:45, arrived at Guangzhou Baiyun at 17:06, transferred to the customs, and took off again at 21:00 from Guangzhou to Melbourne. The plan can never catch up with the change. On that day, there was a rainstorm in Guangzhou, and all the flights to Guangzhou were delayed.
It takes more than seven hours to wait! Fortunately, I was in the VIP lounge, but I was tired after waiting for more than seven hours.
Wudong noodles are greasy.
Snack, shrimp.
Dinner is served as usual after take-off. Although tired, we can't spoil the food. We still have to eat! ha-ha!
The plane didn't land at Baiyun airport until the next morning.
As soon as we got off the plane, we rushed to the transfer counter of China Southern Airlines. At this time, many people were stranded. Most of the international routes transferred by China Southern Airlines were transferred in Guangzhou. Many of the delayed flights arrived in succession were passengers who didn't catch up with the international flights. After waiting for a long time, it was finally our turn. However, we were told that today's flying cat Ben flight was full of all levels, There is no guarantee that there will be a seat in Singapore. Finally, we negotiated to change to the same cabin on April 28.
China Southern Airlines arranged hotel accommodation and arranged it well at the transfer counter. When we got out of the airport, everything changed. So many people were in a mess, no one could be responsible for it, no one could deal with it. We were not sent to the hotel, Hexing Hotel, until more than 4 am. The staff of China Southern Airlines at the scene said that if they want to stay in Holiday Inn / Baiyun Hotel, they don't pay for food or transportation, while Hexing said that they are upright, and it doesn't sound very comfortable. But we don't want to investigate the weather.
In fact, I always wanted to come to Guangzhou, but I didn't expect to stay in Guangzhou for two days in this way, so I started a confused trip to Guangzhou.
Small pretty waist
Chen Tianji's fish skin is in Xiaonong. It's delicious and there are many people.
Nanxin, very famous. Double skin milk is very thick.
Shangxiajiu pedestrian street is the most chaotic pedestrian street I've ever seen. It's a clique to send small advertisements.
The tea restaurant on Shangxiajiu pedestrian street.
Guangzhou fruit is also very affordable.
On the 28th, the second day after staying in Guangzhou, we can finally go to Melbourne tonight.
Buffet in VIP lounge of China Southern Airlines.

2014.Arrived in Melbourne on the morning of April 29.
At the airport, I met Jimmy Chen, an overseas Chinese from Taiwan, who was very nice. He took us to the Queen Victoria Market and picked us up at noon.
地址:Cnr Victoria & Elizabeth Streets
Since its opening in 1878, the queen victoria market is not only a shopping mecca in Melbourne, but also a landmark building with historical significance and a famous tourist attraction.
In the Queen's market, you can buy all kinds of souvenirs, clothes, groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, wine, cheese and so on.
Many Chinese faces can be seen here. When doing business here, most of the products are made in China. Compared with a koala doll, those made in China buy four or five Australian dollars, while those made in Australia are more than 20 Australian dollars. There is still a big gap. You can buy it according to your needs.
Trading Hours:
Map:
Originally, I planned to take part in a tour in the Queen's market today, but I missed it because I came late.
The original tour was called foods' Dream Tour, with 40 Australian dollars per person. You can visit the Queen's market, learn about the history of the Queen's market, taste some delicious food and get a free environmental protection bag.
There are five different tours in the Queen's market. You can learn more about them on the official website: http://www.qvm.com.au/tours/
These dolls are all made in China, and a few are made in Australia. You can see the logo when you buy them.
Vegetable area, big green pepper and red pepper.
It's all fresh fruit. It's great!
I'm not used to all kinds of cheese.
After leaving the Queen Victoria Market, I ate pizza, French fries and ice cream in a fast food restaurant on the street. After that, I went to the hotel to check in.
It's raining in Melbourne today. It's a little chilly. It's autumn in Australia.
Our hotel is crown metropolis Melbourne, which is very good.
After check in, I took a rest in the hotel, took a bath and prepared to have dinner in the tram restaurant in the evening.
In the early 17 o'clock, we arrived at the platform and waited for the arrival of the tram restaurant, just across the road from the hotel.
Melbourne, with a light rain, looks very beautiful. I especially like this picture. After shooting, I found it very beautiful.
Schematic diagram of boarding point:
Our reservation is early diner – 3 course meal 5:45 – 7:15 PM.
There are four periods in the tram restaurant:
Train function distribution:
Tramcar Restaurant, which started in 1983, is the only high-end restaurant in the world to open on tram.
The main course includes filet mignon and special chicken, as well as alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks such as champagne. The attendant on the tram was very happy, took a group photo and sent postcards.
Menu of early diner (different for each period of time)
At about 17:30, most of the passengers gathered at the platform are those who want to eat. At this time, a man in black will come to confirm the list, which is easy to identify. He will hold a list in his hand, ask one by one, and report his name.
There are three trams coming. The number of trains per day depends on the number of people who book meals.
Line up and get on. Our seats are for two in the second row on the right. The tram restaurant uses one-way glass. Passers-by outside the car can't see the environment inside the car, so they can eat safely and won't be seen. Ha ha.
Menu, you only need to choose from the main course, the rest are fixed, wine and drinks are free to drink.
The tram had comfortable crimson carpets, and the chairs were covered with plush brass cushions.
After a while of Ding Dong, the romantic tram restaurant journey begins. You can feel the friction between the wheel hub and the track on the way, but the car condition is very stable, so you don't have to worry about the things scattered in the cup.
Each carriage has a chef in a white hat who magically cooks out all kinds of delicious food in a very confined space. The waiters shuttle in the long carriage, pour wine, serve dishes, and take photos for the guests
steak

Coffee
Less than two hours after the meal time, the tram will stop at the departure station again, and the perfect tram restaurant tour is over.
The waiter will send a postcard and business card to each guest, and call on everyone to share photos on Twitter and other social media to let more people know.
You can learn more about it on the official website of tram restaurant: http://www.tramrestaurant.com.au/
Melbourne Exhibition Center is Australia's largest and most comprehensive modern venue.
The first day in cat Ben passed happily. After walking around the Yala River in front of the hotel, the night scene of Melbourne after the rain was near.
There are many arcades in Melbourne. The beautiful arcade shopping malls not only have various shops and cafes, but also explore the culture and history of Melbourne.
I would like to share a very practical app called "listen to the beautiful scenery". To be honest, sometimes when I go to some scenic spots, I don't care much about its history or some knowledge. If I didn't have the habit of writing travel notes, otherwise I would not go to explore. But this app covers most of the attractions, and it's voice! For example, there is an introduction to this arcade.
Today's first stop, we're going to drink high tea. It's in a famous shop called Hopetoun tea room. It's located in the arcade of the block, which connects Collins Street and little Collins Street, with gorgeous glass dome and mosaic floor.
Contact information and address:
282 Collins Street,Melbourne, 3000,Victoria Australia
The details of block arcades can be accessed at: http://www.theblockarcade.com.au/
After walking into block arcades, the first feeling is that the shop is in order, the arcade dome is high-end atmosphere, and the whole room is illuminated with brilliant lights. Not far away is the Victorian Royal arcade, which has jewelry stores, clothing stores, and so on.
Listen to the introduction. The history of Hopetoun tea room dates back to 1837. It was first a grain store. It was sold at a sky high price of 18 pounds at that time. Since 1883, it was bought out by Brisco grain store. Later, it was taken over by George's, one of Melbourne's most famous stores. In 1889, a raging fire reduced the store to ashes. Between 1893 and 1907, the Victorian women's Labor Association operated a small teahouse, initially located at shop 6. The association was later dissolved and the teahouse continued to operate under the new name of the Hopetoun tea rooms. Meanwhile, the teahouse moved to its current location, in front of the arcade on the block.
Hopetoun tea room is the most famous place for afternoon tea in Melbourne. The cakes displayed in the window are mouth watering. People will start to queue up early. When you sit in it and taste delicious food, there will be a long queue outside the window.
We've already made a reservation. When it's time, we'll be seated.
The picture above is our high tea. It's delicious. No wonder so many people are coming.
High tea has three floors:
第一层有Quiche Lorraine/Ribbon of Beef Sandwiches/Ribbon of Smoked Salmon Sandwiches/Hopetoun Tea Rooms Pinwheels/Vegetarian Salad Burritos
There are all kinds of small cakes on the second floor
The third layer is some fresh fruit
Eat the whole three layers. When you get here, it's a little overwhelming.
Menu with high tea:
The contact information and address of the Hopetoun tea room are:
03 9650 2777
Shop 1 & 2, Block Arcade, 282 Collins Street
The picture above is a business card given by the shop assistant.
Details can be viewed as follows: http://www.hopetountearooms.com.au/
High tea was eaten at about 10:30 a.m. and it didn't finish until noon. We can see that there are many portions, but most of them are sitting in the Hopetoun tea room to feel the atmosphere. It's very beautiful. It's a very historic shop. We can also feel its history from the decoration of the shop.
Just a few blocks away from the arcade of the neighborhood where the Hopetoun tea room is located, you will arrive at Flinders Street station, which is opposite to Federation Square.
There are lots of seagulls in Union Square? I'm not sure about orz, They are very close, not afraid of people, this feeling is very good, close to nature. Many tourists are sitting on the steps in front of the federal Plaza. We are also. At this time, a group of students came to do a questionnaire survey, and they were very happy to accept the invitation. It was a questionnaire survey about the tramps in Melbourne.
Here (the picture above), there is also a tourist center. If you have any questions, you can come here to get answers. This is very good. I think many of our cities need to learn and want to attract tourists to travel. But if the service is not in place, how can others have a good time?! In Melbourne's tourist center, you can consult the service staff, they are very patient, they can also ask for all kinds of information, maps and so on, everything is free.
The picture above is part of the information I asked for. If you need to leave a message or a private message, I will scan it to share it.
My little friend and I spent a long time in the tourist center, but we didn't know where to go in the afternoon, so we gave some advice on the map and decided to go to see the sea! So out of the tourist center, opposite is the railway station, super convenient. The big screen shows the trains going to different places. Just find your own platform.
Enter the gate, see a wall, stupid way to die, you all know? I used to download all the animations and play the same game.
"Dumb ways to die" is a public service advertisement for railway safety in Melbourne, Australia, where 979 people fall off the track in a year. Within 24 hours of its release, the video of this song soared to the top ten in the ranking of the iTunes. This 3-minute little MV has a very small and fresh style, but the lyrics are very violent, and the picture is even more tasteful. It has a bloody face
The beach we decided to go to was st Kilda beach. We took the train to Balaclava station, a small station, and then took the tram.
The scenery on the way is also very charming, and the street buildings are beautiful.
There are many beaches in Melbourne, and St Kilda beach is the closest to the city and one of the most popular beaches in Philip Bay. It's a good place to walk on the beach and enjoy the beautiful city landscape and beautiful sunset in Melbourne. Although we didn't stay until the evening to watch the sunset, we are satisfied to see the sea. Blue sea!
Blue sea, see really excited!!
There is a small dock here. Go ahead and see the sea!
Up to now, I have seen the blue water twice, once in Britain, and then this time. For my child who can only see the muddy water at the mouth of the Yangtze River, I am really happy to see this picture.
St Kilda Beach Location:
More can be found at: http://www.stkildabeach.com/
Next to St Kilda beach is Luna Park, which has many recreational facilities.
Moon park opens at 11 a.m. on weekends, school holidays and public holidays.
Think how exciting it would be to enter the paradise from this big mouth!
Details can be viewed as follows: http://lunapark.com.au/
Unfortunately, this day, the park is not open, only at the door to see.
There is a theatre across from the park.
Today's tour is over under the wind of the sea. After returning to the hotel and making some adjustments, we are going to have a big meal in the evening!
Today's dinner is going to the Atlantic restaurant.
“The Atlantic offers a series of menus designed to excite the senses; from the oyster bar and a la carte, through to the degustation menu. Each day Executive Chef Donovan Cooke and his team are inspired by the best wild and sustainable fish, unique oyster varieties and pristine shellfish.”
The dinner was a surprise. The $500 diner of the Atlantic restaurant included 7 courses, 4 different kinds of champagne and 2 different kinds of red wine. The course was delicious, and the wine made me a little drunk. The Atlantic restaurant is just inside the crown entertainment complex. Just go out of the hotel and turn right.
As soon as they were arranged to sit down, they were put into goblets, all kinds of wine, one cup at a time.
The restaurant is dark and has a lot of atmosphere.
A total of seven courses, although each one, the waiter will explain, but please forgive my English level, really can't understand.
So after eating so much, I don't remember what each course is. How embarrassing!!
However, there is a menu on the official website of the Atlantic restaurant, which can be viewed if necessary: http://theatlantic.com.au/the-atlantic
Contact information and address of Atlantic restaurant:

Crown Entertainment Complex,8 Whiteman Street,Southbank. Vic.
After finishing the chocolate tour, we plan to go to the seaside to see the sea. Thinking that we are going to set foot on the way home in the evening, we are a little reluctant to part with each other. It's really a pity that we can't go to Dayang road. Let's go to the seaside to make up for our expectation of the sea.
Williamstown is about 7.5km away from Melbourne. It's a seaside town and you can go there by train.
Out of the station, there is a local shop opposite, bought a bottle of water, very expensive.
It's a quiet seaside town. It's all single family houses.
Living here, you can see the sea through the window. It's so comfortable.
