Indian Handicrafts, rich in strong folk color, quality is better.

With a long history and splendid culture, the vast territory and the diversity of ethnic religions, India has a dazzling traditional handicrafts.

In jotpur, in the old village there, we were lucky enough to walk into a few handicraft workshops.

Pottery ware

Tens of thousands of years ago, when the pottery was fired in the original kiln, due to the contact between the pottery body and a large amount of air, the fired pottery was red and became red pottery.

As a kind of utensil, pottery was first used in daily life, so at the beginning, pottery was mostly made into pots, bowls, basins, bowls and other utensils for cooking, storage and eating. In many cultural sites, various kinds of cooking utensils, edible utensils and containers have been found, which meet the living needs of the ancestors.

And in India, in every corner, you can often see that this use has been preserved to this day.

Printed fabric

There I bought two sets of bedding, hand-made printing and dyeing, characteristic patterns, all of which have primitive artistic style.

First of all, prepare cotton or silk cloth to be rinsed into light color, then print the fancy outline on the cloth, and then fill in the color.

Then, the cloth is coated with a mixture of clay and resin, and then dyed with dye sauce. The dye penetrates into the cloth through the gap of the surface material of the cloth to form a special texture. After washing and drying, it is then embossed with a mold for creation.

Finally, the colored cloth is dried, and the color of the cloth is faded with some special materials, which will produce many unusual styles and colors.

Hand woven blanket

India's hand-made blanket is very beautiful, the main raw materials are wool, but also use man-made fiber or silk to weave.

What we are seeing this time is the most basic man-made fiber and cotton yarn.

The size of each carpet is measured by the size of the British carpet, and the density of the carpet is expressed by the number of knots per inch. According to the size of the blanket, the weaving cycle varies from half a month to one month to three months.

The design and color of this kind of blanket woven by hand in the workshop are not fixed, so each one is not duplicate. Woven blankets can be used for drapes or on the ground.

The earthenware pot is dried to half dry, and then the outside is gently knocked to be round.

Then, with one hand inside and the other hand outside, the rough surface is smoothed.

This handsome man is working on a piece of coarse cloth by embossing with a mold.

The mold is hand carved from wood. The newly finished mold usually can't be used directly. Its printing surface needs to be soaked in the fuel for a period of time. And dyes, are mineral or plant, so the color is not very bright, but after processing, the dye is quite adhesion, not easy to fade.

Different patterns of the mold on different dyes, imprinted on the fabric. When finished, the cloth will be exposed to the sun. After that, some newspaper like paper will be used to wrap the cloth and steam it to fix the color.

Finally, after drying the cloth, iron it by hand. It's the special printed fabric we see.

This kind of design and color, a bed sheet, plus two pillowcases, seems to be 700-1200 rupees. I bought two sets, and the bargain seemed to be 1500 rupees.

The furniture of these handicraft workshops is very simple. It can be said that there is no furniture at all, which is quite backward.

A simple bed, a few old sheets, is a simple home.

The colorful carpet at the foot of a handsome man needs to be woven by hand for one month to forty-one days.

The lines in the basin are all dyed with dyes made from pure plants or ores.

A lot of finished carpets were piled up in one room.

The other room is just as simple as the bedroom.

The stove is very simple. It's burning carbon and burning highland barley cake.

Lunch half cake + Curry Soup + fried potatoes with vegetables, and chili sauce.

Highland barley cake is dry and hard, curry soup does not dare to drink, fried potatoes with green vegetables salty death.

But the beautiful sister is very happy to eat. Anyway, I can't do it. I like them to eat the dishes.

Family photo: father, son and daughter.

The old man is seventy years old and strong. But the eyes are not good, so when the light is strong, take sunglasses for protection.

Because the beautiful sister is a guest to her brother's house, she can't sit on the floor with her brother and father. What's the rule in India? I can't understand the language. I didn't ask in detail.
